We are seeking a senior developer to lead the development of bioinformatics software tools for Canada's national advanced computing infrastructure. This role involves designing scalable solutions for genomics data processing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop high-performance bioinformatics software tools
• Optimize existing workflows for HPC and cloud environments
• Collaborate with research communities to understand computational needs
• Lead technical architecture decisions and code reviews
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in scientific software development
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and containerization technologies
• Experience with HPC systems and parallel computing
• Knowledge of bioinformatics workflows and data formats
Compensation
$85000 - $105000 {{ job.salary_currency }} per year
